Can You Forget About Something You're Passionate About?

I was going to write about something last night that I felt incredibly passionate about on here, but now I've forgotten what it is. I guess it was all just from exhaustion of a long day of classes and homework. Anyways, I've noticed that there is a general anger toward the shuttle service. I can't say I'm not one of them. I've found myself almost being late for class, by a minute or so. I seem to always get down to the stop with half an hour before my class. Ten to fifteen minutes later I'm on the shuttle/bus. Now, the university website says there's supposed to be one arriving every four minutes. I know that the construction adds on a few minutes, but this is just ridiculous. They have at least one shuttle and two to three school buses running and they can't seem to keep in the time frame. For the first week I figured it wasn't a big deal and they were getting into the hang of the route, but at this point it's just getting ridiculous. Not to mention I live at Riverview. The shuttle stops at Cambridge, which has around three times as many students, and they load up the shuttle leaving a few places for standing room on the shuttle. I'm sorry, but there has got to be a better, more efficient way to run the shuttles.

  1. Ryan - If you've got ideas to improve the shuttles, we'd love to hear them. We can get the shuttles spaced out correctly, but when they hit Locust Ave they get stuck in traffic and all bunch up together, causing the delay on the next trip. Right now with North Ave and Capitol under construction, there is 3 times as much traffic on Locust as their normally is. We really are hearing everyone's complaints...but with all of the congestion on the area streets it's tough to come up with a solution.
